P. NARAYANASAMY, PhD, is a former department head and professor of plant pathology at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore, India. He is the author of four other books on plant pathology.

A great postharvest book

This is an excellent book for all the people working with postharvest diseases of fruits and others comodities. The book also brings an extensive amount of information on the biology and management of many plant pathogenics microorganism and the principes and practices to implement an integrated program to reduce the negative impact of postharvest diseases, focusing in the developing of effective management systems. The protocols for basic techniques and methods are very useful and didactics and easy to implement for different fruits and vegetables. Its a great investment for plant pathologist and packinghouse managers.
